Prayer:Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.03.2018 and the reminder dated 23.10.2018 within the stipulated time may be fixed by this Court and to permit the petitioner to avail the revised pay fixation made in accordance with the Board proceedings issued in (Per.) FB TANGEDCO Proceedings No.9, Secretariat Branch dated 02.03.2018.

O R D E R

The case of the petitioner is that he joined as Assessor on 10.08.2000 in the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board and subsequently promoted as Junior Assistant on 05.08.2006. He was further promoted to the post of Assistant in the year 2008. Thereafter, his name was included in the panel for promotion to the post of Administrative Supervisor in the year 2018 and allotted to the Sivagangai Electricity Distribution Circle. It is the further case of the petitioner that the Circle Allotment Order was issued to him only on 17.02.2018, belatedly. Circle as Administrative Supervisor. Immediately he submitted his pay fixation option form to the authorities, but it was not processed. He also submitted a detailed representation to the Superintending Engineer, Sivagangai Electricity Distribution Circle on 09.03.2018 and the same was forwarded to the respondent for necessary orders. Since the respondent has not passed any orders, he has come up with the present writ petition to direct the respondent to consider his representation dated 09.03.2018 which has been made for fixing the revised pay in accordance with the respondent-Board proceedings issued in (Per.) FB TANGEDCO Proceedings No.9 Secretariat Branch dated 02.03.2018. 2.Mr.P.R.Dilipkumar, learned counsel, takes notice for the respondent.

3.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the respondent is directed to consider the representation dated 09.03.2018 made by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity to the petitioner, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
