O R D E R

The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a writ of mandamus directing the 2nd respondent herein to conduct necessary enquiry in respect of his representations dated 02.01.2017 and 31.01.2017 in accordance with law and issue patta in his favour.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that in spite of the petitioner's representations dated 02.01.2017 and 31.01.2017, the 2nd respondent has not considered the same and passed orders.

3. Mr.S.V.Dorai Solaimalai, learned Additional Government Pleader, taking notice for the respondents submitted that the 2nd respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's representations and pass orders, in accordance with law.

4. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the writ petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the

merits of the case, I direct the 2nd respondent to conduct enquiry in respect of petitioner's representations dated 02.01.2017 and 31.01.2017 and pass orders, in accordance with law, after giving notice to other legal heirs of the deceased, viz., T.V.Ranganathan, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
