O R D E R

The petitioner who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 09.12.2025, seeks bail in P.R.C. No.27 of 2015 for the offence punishable under Sections 120(B), 147, 148, 341, 302 IPC in Crime No.229 of 2015, registered on the file of the respondent police. 1/4

2. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an accused facing trial in P.R.C.No.27 of 2015 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Chengalpattu, and subsequently, he had not appeared before the trial Court, and he was issued non-bailable warrant on 21.12.2024 and the same was executed on 09.12.2025. He also submitted that the petitioner will undertake that hereafter he will regularly appear before the trial court on all hearing dates and also stated that he is prepared to comply with any stringent conditions that may be imposed by this Court. Therefore, he prays for grant of bail to the petitioner.

3. Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent submitted that the petitioner has 12 previous cases pending against him. Hence, he opposed to grant bail to the petitioner.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the fact that the petitioner has 12 previous cases and the trial is progressing, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

5. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 12.01.2026 drl 2/4
