This Writ Petition has been filed challenging the proceedings of the respondent dated 14.12.2023, wherein the respondent has refused to grant permission and police protection for conducting motorcycle race slated to be held on 16.01.2024.
2. Heard Mr.Akshaisajinkumar V.L, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. A. Damodaran, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for respondent.
3. This Court carefully went through the order passed by the respondent through proceedings dated 14.12.2023. The respondent has stated that the place where the race is planned to be conducted is a main road with lot of public and vehicle movement and it will cause undue hardship to the general public.

In the considered view of this Court, the reasons assigned by the respondent while rejecting the permission sought for by the
petitioner does not suffer from any illegality and it does not require the interference of this court. The petitioner cannot be allowed to conduct bike race in a public road. It is left open to the petitioner to identify some open ground and make a fresh representation to the police and such representation shall be dealt with by the respondent police on its own merits and in accordance with law.
