..Respondents Prayer:- This Habeas Corpus Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to direct the 1st respondent to produce the corpus or body of the petitioner's daughter, namely ranjani, aged 20 years, before this court and set her at liberty. For Petitioner :

O R D E R

This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed to direct the 1st respondent to produce the body of the detenue namely Ranjani, aged 20 years before this Court and set her at liberty.

2. It is stated by the petitioner that on 10.12.2014, the detenue, Ranjani, went for grazing the cattle in the nearby forest and she did not turn up for a long time. Thereafter, they were informed by her friend that she had gone away with one Babu who belong to the same village along with two of his associates. Therefore, the petitioner gave a complaint on 13.12.2014, based on which, the police registered a complaint in CSR.226/2014. Since no effective steps have been taken to trace the detenue, the present https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the detenue was produced before the Court by the respondent police along with Babu. On being enquired, the detenue had stated that she left the home on her own accord and she is not willing to go along with her parents. She had further stated that she wanted to go along with the said Babu, whom she is stated to have married.

4. The above statement made by the detenue is recorded. As the detenue is a major, we permit her to go as per her wish.

5. With the above said observations, the Habeas Corpus Petition is closed.
