ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for direction directing the first respondent to sanction provident Fund Loan to the petitioner considering his application No.017415 dated 28.12.2023 to pay the amount a sum of Rs.5,00,000/- for the petitioner daughter's marriage expenses which is lying in the petitioner's provident Fund Account within a time frame as fixed by this Hon'ble Court.
2. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on records.
3. The petitioner is working as a Driver in the Tamil Nadu Transport Corporation, Ukkadam-I, Coimbatore range. A sum of Rs.8,264/- has been deducted as Provident Fund amount from the petitioner's salary every month. Now, the Provident Fund amount available in his account is Rs.8,12,121/-. In order to meet out his daughter's marriage function, he had applied for a loan to the tune of Rs.5,00,000/- from his Provident Fund account. Though the petitioner is entitled for 75% of the loan, his application has not been considered so far.
4. Considering the above, the first respondent is directed to consider the application submitted by the petitioner for sanction of loan from the Provident
Fund to the tune of Rs.5,00,000/- and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
