Prayer:Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the second respondent to consider the appeal dated 20.11.2017 filed by the petitioner and further directing the respondents to issue patta in favour of the petitioner based on relevant registered document in accordance with law.

Mr.E.Balamurugan, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents 1to 3. Since this writ petition is being disposed of, without affecting the interest of the respondents 4 to 6, notice to them is dispensed with. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2.The petitioner seeks for a mandamus to direct the second respondent to consider the appeal dated 20.11.2017 filed by the petitioner and also to direct the respondents to issue patta in favour of the petitioner based on relevant registered document in accordance with law.

3.The grievance of the petitioner is that the second respondent has not disposed the appeal so far. Therefore, it is for the second respondent to consider the said appeal and pass orders on the same, on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the petitioner as well as other interested parties. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner in the said appeal. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of, with a direction to the second respondent to consider the appeal filed by the petitioner on 20.11.2017 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the petitioner as well as the the other interested parties, if any. Such exercise shall be done by the second respondent, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
