ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.] The petitioner is the father of the detenu seeks his custody pursuant to the case registered for man missing in Cr. No. of 2019. The detenu is stated to be missing from 05.12.2019 onwards.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for respondents 1 and 2.

3.As there was no substantial progress pursuant to the orders passed by this Court on 19.03.2020, the investigation has been transferred to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Erode Rural Sub Division, Perundurai, Erode District. A report has also been filed by the said officer dated 08.11.2020. 4.We have perused the report. The report indicates the steps that are taken to trace the detenu.

5.On a perusal of the aforesaid report, while directing the said officer, namely, the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Erode Rural Sub Division, Perundurai, Erode District to continue with the investigation and trace the detenu, the habeas corpus petition stands closed. As and when the detenu is secured, he should be produced before the jurisdictional Magistrate.
