ORDER
This Court, while disposing of the writ petition in W.P.No.7865 of 2015, by order dated 18.10.2016, directed the 2nd respondent to send a proposal to the 1st respondent within regard to regularization of the service of the
petitioner as Junior Assistant from the date of his initial appointment and promote to the post of Executive Officer Grade II on par with his juniors, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order and the 1st respondent was directed to pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, and also based on the Government Orders in G.O.Ms.No.407 (MAWS Department), dated 02.08.2001, G.O.Ms.No.146 (MAWS Department) dated 16.04.2002, G.O.Ms.No.59 (MAWS Department) dated 27.08.2004 and G.O.Ms.No.32 (MAWS Department) dated 13.12.2006, as well as the order passed by this Court in W.P.No.29845 of 2011 (V.Raju Vs. 1.The Secretary to Government of Tamil nadu, and 2 others), dated 03.09.2013, within a period of eight weeks.
2.The present contempt petition has been filed by the petitioner alleging non-compliance of the order dated 18.10.2016 passed by this Court.
3.Today, when the matter is taken up, there is no representation for the petitioner.
4.However, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, by producing a copy of the order in G.O.(2D).No.80, dated 27.12.2017, submitted that the order passed by this Court has been duly complied with by the
respondents.
5.Since the order of this Court has been complied with, nothing survives in this contempt petition and accordingly, the same is closed.
