This writ petition is filed for issue of a Writ of Certiorari to call for the records pertaining to the proceedings in Na.Ka.No. 1485/A1/2014 dated
14.07.2014 and to quash the same.

Today, when the writ petition is taken up, it is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is agreeable to pay the amount of Rs.22,003/- fixed by the respondent as monthly rent, in respect of Shop No.4, located in Old Bus Stand at Tirupur, owned by the respondent Corporation.

An affidavit of undertaking dated 30.11.2016 has also been filed by the petitioner and paragraph No.3 of the said affidavit reads as follows: "3.
I hereby undertake to pay the enhanced monthly rent of Rs.22,003/- to the respondent. Hence, it is prayed that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to allow the writ petition by quashing the proceedings in Na.Ka.No. 1485/A1/2014 dated 14.07.2014 and direct the respondent to renew my licence period."

Since the petitioner has agreed to pay Rs.22,003/-, as demanded by the respondent, towards monthly rent, the respondent is directed to give licence/lease to the petitioner for a further period of 3 years.

Apart from the monthly rent, the petitioner shall also pay nine months' advance to the respondent Corporation. 5.
The affidavit of undertaking filed by the petitioner is taken on file. 6.
In view of the fact that the petitioner has agreed to pay the monthly rent, as demanded by the respondent as well as nine months' advance, the impugned order is set aside and the writ petition is disposed of, on the above terms.
