PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 4th respondent to assess the property tax and to issue a property tax demand to the petitioner with respect to the property bearing no.1/237 Bajanai Koil Street, comprised in Grama Natam S.No.253/11 at Navalur Village of Thirupporur Town Panchayat and Chengalpet District admeasuring 13 cents.

ORDER
By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

This writ petition has been filed praying for a writ of Mandamus to direct the 4th respondent to assess the property tax and to issue a property tax demand to the petitioner with respect to the property bearing no.1/237 Bajanai Koil Street, comprised in Grama Natam S.No.253/11 at Navalur Village of Thirupporur Town Panchayat and Chengalpet District admeasuring 13 cents.
3. At the outset, Mr.P.Balathandayutham, learned Special Government Pleader who takes notice for the Respondents would submit that the respondent 2/5
authority had commenced enquiry on the petitioner's representation dated 15.12.2023 and the petitioner has also been heard partly and she has been directed to produce the further materials in support. It is also submitted that after furnishing of further materials by the petitioner and subject to co-operation by the petitioner in the enquiry orders would be passed within a period of two weeks of furnishing of such documents by the petitioner.
4. In view of the same, this Court passes the following orders: (i) The petitioner is directed to furnish the further materials/documents before the respondent authority within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
(ii) Upon receipt of such materials/documents, the respondent authority is directed to consider the same along with petitioner's representation dated 15.12.2023, on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks thereafter, after affording a reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.
(iii) It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the case.

5. With the above directions, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
