JUDGMENT

(Delivered by S.M.Subramaniam J.) The Director of Government Examinations along with other officials have preferred the present writ appeal.

2. The respondent instituted W.P.No.27172 of 2024 challenging the order dated 01.12.2022 re-fixing the date of probation which was declared as 26.02.2021 in proceedings dated 17.10.2022. The reason cited by the appellants are that the respondent applied for casual leave from 14.02.2022 to 22.02.2022 and further extended the leave till 01.03.2022. Admittedly, the authorities have granted extraordinary leave and the continuity of service is not affected. Therefore, the delay in undergoing the Bhavani Sagar training by the respondent would not be an impediment for passing the impugned order restoring the original order declaring the date of completion of probation as 26.02.2021. The writ Court has considered the issues based on the established principles and there is no infirmity. Accordingly, the writ appeal stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
