ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- It is brought to the notice of this Court that the State has preferred an SLP against the order passed by this Court in the main Criminal Original Petition dated 24.04.2019 and the SLP will tentatively come up for hearing on 04.07.2019. Mr.Sarath Chandran, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the Committee submitted that in view of this development, the Committee is not getting the
required cooperation from the State Government and therefore, the Committee is not in a position to make any substantial progress.
2. The entire exercise undertaken by this Court was to make an attempt to suggest certain reforms in the Criminal Justice System in the State of Tamilnadu by appointing a committee. Ultimately, the recommendations of the Committee will be of use to the State Government, who can take that into consideration while revamping the system in future.
3.However, in view of the above development, this Court does not want to pass any further orders and this Court will await for the result of the SLP that has been filed before the Hon'ble Supreme Court by the State Government.
4.Post this Case on 15.07.2019.
