PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus, to produce the body of the detenu namely, Thiru Manikandan @ Madavan, Age 21 years, S/o Somu, before this Hon'ble Court and set him at liberty forthwith, by calling for the records pertaining to the detention order in C.M.P.No.110/Drug Offender/Salem City/2023 dated 13.12.2023 passed by the 2nd Respondent, quash the same as illegal, incompetent and ultravires.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by M.S.RAMESH, J.) When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner, as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents, by producing a copy of the Government Order in G.O.Rt.No.606, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XIV) Department, dated 31.01.2024, submitted that the detention order has already been revoked.

2. Recording the said submission, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands dismissed as infructuous.
