Respondents PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to call for the entire records comprised in Crime No.369 of 2016 pending on the file of the Inspector of Police, Team 9 (A) EDF-II, Central Crime Branch, Vepery, Chennai and quash the same.

ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking to quash the FIR pending in Crime No.369 of 2016 on the file of 1st respondent police.

2. The complaint was filed by the Transport Commissioner against the petitioners herein on the ground that the salary of more than 130 persons working in the Company was not paid. Subsequent to the registration of the FIR, the petitioners have settled the entire amount to all the employees. Necessary documents to prove the same has also been filed before this Court.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions would submit that the respondent police have also prepared a closure report as "Further action dropped", in view of the subsequent developments. However, some time may be given to the respondent police to file the same before the competent Court. A copy of the draft closure report was also furnished to the Court.

4. This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent police to file a closure report before the appropriate Court within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
