ORDER

This writ petition is filed for issuing a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the first respondent to consider the first petitioners' representation dated 28.09.2020 and issue patta to the petitioners within the time.

2.In the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition, it is stated that the land measuring to an extent of 1.90.00 hectare i.e 4.86 acres in S.No.122/1 belonged to Basavalinga Swamy Temple in Mahendramangalam Village, was acquired by the respondents for the purpose of forming of layout and to assign house sites to landless poor people belonging to Adi Dravidar Community. It is further stated that though patta was issued to a few beneficiaries, after forming of lay out, it is contended by the petitioners that for other persons who are eligible no patta was issued sofar. A representation was given to the respondents. It is stated that there was no response. Hence, the present writ petition is filed.

3.Having regard to the limited scope of this petition, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioners' representation, directs the second respondent to consider the representation submitted by the first petitioner dated 28.09.2020 and to dispose of the same in accordance with law, after giving opportunity to the petitioners to show their eligibility. This exercise shall be done by the first respondent within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No Costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
