ORDER

This Court, by an order dated 16.02.2023 directed the District Judge/Appellate Authority, Nilgiris to reappreciate the evidence available on record and render a finding on the same within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of that order. Since the said case could not be disposed of within the time stipulated by this court, the court below by letter dated 02.12.2024 sought for extension of time. Hence, the matter is 1/3

listed before this court today.

2. The learned District Judge, Nilgiris submitted that he took charge of District and Sessions Court, Udhagamandlam on 13.11.2024 and when the case was posted for the hearing on 27.11.2024, arguments on the side of respondents 3, 5 to 11 was heard and now the case is posted on 02.12.2024 for appellant side arguments. Therefore, the court below was unable to complete the case within the time fixed by this Court. Hence, he prayed to grant further time of 45 days to dispose the above case.

3. Considering the request of the learned District Judge, Nilgiris, this court is inclined to extend the time for the period of two months from the date of receipt of copy of this order to comply with the order of this court. However, time granted by this court will not be extended after two months. 07.01.2025 rpp 2/3
