The writ petition is filed seeking relief of direction to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 13.08.2012 and consequently to direct the respondents to appoint the petitioner as an Advocate Clerk with the Public Prosecutor or Government Pleader at Vellore, Vellore District.

2. The prayer as such, sought for in this writ petition is innocuous and this Court cannot consider the said prayer and further, the writ petitioner has not established any legal right to consider even his representation for appointment. All appointments to the public post are to be made only through open competetive process. However, the writ petitioner seeks direction to appoint him as the Advocate Clerk with the Public Prosecutor or Government Pleader and such a claim cannot be entertained and the writ petition is not maintainable.

competent authority to issue an order of appointment in this regard, no further adjudication on the grounds raised in this writ petition is required to be entertained and as such, the writ petition is dismissed as not maintainable.
