J U D G M E N T
[Judgment of the Court was delivered by K.KALYANASUNDARAM, J] This CMA has been filed challenging the judgment and award passed by the Principal District Judge, Erode in IDOP.No.23 of 2008.
2. The appellant/husband filed Original Petition for dissolution of marriage solemnized between him and the respondent on 25.10.2004. After trial, the learned Principal District Judge, Erode dismissed the Original Petition. Challenging the same, the present appeal has been filed.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the appellant Mr.B.R.Sankaralingam and the learned counsel appearing for the respondent Ms.P.T.Ramadevi would state that the matter was referred to Lok Adalat, Erode for amicable settlement. Both the parties appeared before the Lok Adalat on 16.03.2022 and the matter was settled between them. The respondent/wife has given a letter before the Lok Adalat, Erode stating that she has no objection for granting divorce. The appellant has also given a letter stating that he is ready to pay Rs.50,000/- as maintenance to his daughter Nisha Ansalin by way of permanent alimony.
4. The learned counsel appearing for the appellant would state that the appellant will pay the amount of Rs.50,000/- within a period of three months from today.
5. The submission of the learned counsel for the appellant and the letters, dated 16.03.2022 of both the parties are taken on file. In the light of the above, the appeal is allowed and the marriage solemnized between the appellant and the respondent, dated 25.10.2004 is hereby dissolved. No costs.
