ORDER
(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) The petitioners seek to arrogate much more importance to themselves than their positions demand.
2. The petitioners complain not only of a lesser area of waterbody being leased out for fishing, but also of the quantum fixed as the reserve price. In any event, it is submitted on behalf of the respondent authorities that the reserve price has been revised upwards.
3. Matters of the present kind should not form the subject matter of any public interest litigation to waste Court time. There is very little assistance that the Court can render in such direct executive functioning. If a public interest litigation were to be generated in respect of every village tank all over the State, there would be little time to tend to other business.
4. For the reasons aforesaid, the matters complained of need not be gone into at this level, but it will be open to the persons really affected by the perceived acts of the respondent authorities to take appropriate action in accordance with law without being prejudiced by this order in any manner whatsoever. The writ petitioners should confine themselves to their personal interest for the moment.
W.P.Nos.1867 and 1871 of 2021 are disposed of without any order as to costs. As a consequence, WMP Nos.2113, 2109, 2110 and 2112 of 2021 are closed.
