ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to complete the investigation and file a final report in Crime No.715 of 2015 pending on his file within the time that may be fixed by this Court.

2. The case of the petitioner is that as against one Sheik Pakker and others, he has lodged a complaint and the same was registered as FIR in Crime No.715 of 2015 on the file of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 294 (b) and 323 IPC. Though the complaint was registered on 31.12.2015, till date, final report was not filed. Hence, this petition.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who took notice for the respondent.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the respondent police to investigate the case in Crime No.715 of 2015 pending on his file and file a final report, if not already filed, as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition is ordered.
