O R D E R
This Contempt Petition has been filed by the writ petitioners seeking to punish the respondents for not complying with the order of the Court dated 01.07.2009 in W.P.No.7659 of 2006.
2. Mr.G.Baskaran, learned Central Government Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents would submit that the SLP filed by the respondent Postal Department in SLP No.25515 of 2010 came to be dismissed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court vide its order dated 25.05.2022. The respondent Postal Department also reinstated the petitioner back into service and complied Page No.2 of 4
with the direction of this Court dated 01.07.2009 in letter and spirit. Thereafter, the petitioner, on attaining the age of superannuation, retired from service on 02.01.2020.
3. In view of the submissions made by the learned Central Government Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents, nothing survives for further adjudication in this matter. Accordingly, this Contempt Petition stands closed.
