ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking for transfer of investigation of the FIR pending investigation in Crime No.127 of 2020 on the file of the 2nd respondent, to some other superior officer or different agency.

2.The main ground on which the petitioner seeks for transfer of investigation is that one of the accused persons in this case is working in the police department and therefore, the respondent police are intentionally trying to shield the accused person and even the FIR was registered with a considerable delay and therefore, the petitioner does not have the confidence in the investigation conducted by the 2nd respondent.

3.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondents.

4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondents submitted that the investigation has almost been completed and final report will be filed within the time prescribed by this Court.

5.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and also the apprehension raised by the petitioner that the investigation is not effectively conducted by the 2nd respondent since, one of the accused person is working in the Police Department, there shall be a direction to the 1st respondent viz., The Superintendent of Police, Villupuram District to monitor the investigation conducted by the 2nd respondent and ensure that the investigation is conducted effectively and a final report shall be filed within a period of two months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 6.This petition is disposed of with the above directions.
