..Respondents PRAYER : Writ Petition filed Under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 3rd respondent to consider the application dated 12.11.2019 submitted by the petitioner for issuance of legal heirship certificate under the Class II legal heirs of the Hindu Succession Act 1956 and pass appropriate orders on merits after conducting due enquiries as may be required within a time frame as fixed by this Court.

This writ petition has been filed seeking to issue a legal heirship certificate to the sister under the Class II legal heirs of the Hindu Succession Act 1956.

2. A representation in this regard has given to the 3rd respondent seeking legal heirship certificate. This representation is dated 12.11.2019.

3. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, a direction is issued to the 3rd respondent namely the Tahsildar, Purasaiwalkam Taluk, Chennai to hold an enquiry of issuing notice to the petitioner and to her brothers and sisters determining whether there are any objection to the grant of legal heirship certificate to the petitioner and then pass orders with reasons on or before 15.02.2020.

4. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
