ORDER

The above Writ Petition is filed seeking for an issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to grant the petitioner the seniority and monetary benefits in the post of Forester with effect from the date of promotion of the 5th respondent to the post of Forester. 2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that by virtue of the order dated 03.12.2007, he is entitled to be promoted in accordance with the panel dated 23.06.1992, whereas he was not given promotion. Hence, he had given a representation to the 2nd respondent on 10.09.2011. Though the petitioner had given such representation, the 2nd respondent did not pass any order on his representation. Therefore, the instant writ petition has been filed 2/4

seeking seniority and monetary benefits in the post of Forester with effect from the date of promotions of the 5th respondent. Though the petitioner has come up with the specific prayer, since the petitioner's representation is still pending before the 2nd respondent, this Court without going into the merits of the case deems it appropriate to direct the 2nd respondent to consider the said representation, according to its own merits and pass order. 3.In the light of the above, the Writ Petition stands ordered, directing the 2nd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 10.09.2011 according to its own merits and to pass order within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of this order.
