ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking a direction to the 2nd Respondent not to harass the petitioner in any manner, expect by due process of law, pursuant to the representation dated 21/04/2015.

2. This petition has come up today for admission. I have heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent and I have also perused the records carefully.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor represents that the wife of the 1st petitioner has given a complaint before the All Women Police Station, Sriperumbuthur and the petitioners have been called for enquiry.

4. Under such circumstances, no blanket direction as prayed for by the petitioners could be given. If the petitioners are wanted either for enquiry or for interrogation, they can very well be summoned by the respondent police and while doing so, the petitioners shall not be harassed. At the same time, the petitioners should submit themselves to the respondent for interrogation and enquiry. It is made clear that this order will not shield if the petitioners are involved in cognizable offence.

5. With the above observation, the Criminal Original Petition is closed.
