.. Respondent Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying this Court to issue a writ of habeas corpus to direct the respondent's police to produce the detenu, by name, Subramani, who is aged about 80 years, before this Court and set him at liberty.

ORDER

(DELIVERED BY DR. S.VIMALA, J.) The petitioner has filed this petition seeking direction to the respondent to produce the body of her father Subramani, aged about 80 years, who was found missing from 15.12.2017.

2. The detenu Subramani, aged about 80 years, is stated to be missing on account of mental illness.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that based on the complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Cr.No.684 of 2017 has been registered by the respondent Police, under Section 174 Cr.P.C. and later, the body of a dead person was identified as that of the detenu and thereafter, the petitioner has also given a statement before the Police that no further action is required.
