Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus to call for the records relating to the detention order in C.M.P.No.20/GOONDA/C2/2020 dated 14.12.2020 leading to the detention of petitioner's son Praveen, son of Sakthivel, aged about 22 years, presently detained in Central Prison, Salem and set aside the same and direct the respondents to produce him before this Court and set him at liberty forthwith.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] The petitioner challenges the impugned order of detention in C.M.P.No.20/GOONDA/C2/2020 dated 14.12.2020, detaining her son as "Goonda" under Section 2(f) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor reports that the order of detention passed against the detenue has been revoked by the Government by its order in G.O.Rt.No.583, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XIV) Department, dated 04.02.2021 and he has also produced a copy of the Government Order. Recording the same, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
