ORDER

This Criminal original petition is filed seeking a direction to the 3rd respondent, the Inspector of Police, Steel Plant Police Station, Salem District, to further investigate the case in crime No.363/2014 dated 04/09/2014 under section 323 294(b) 506(ii)I.P.C and to file a final report within a stipulated period of time.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police.

3. Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and taking into account the nature of allegations in the complaint, a blanket direction to file a final report cannot be given and instead, it would be in the interest of justice, a direction is issued to the respondent police to complete the investigation and either file a final report or closure report with due notice to the defacto complainant as the case may be, as expeditiously as possible.

4. With the above observation, the Criminal Original Petition is closed.
