Respondents Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to appoint the petitioner for the post of Village Assistant at Harur Taluk in the existing vacancy based on the interview dated 04.08.2012 held by the 1st respondent in pursuance of the call letter dated 26.07.2012 made in Na.ka.No.15348/2009/A5 issued by the 1st respondent within the stipulated time that may be fixed by this Honourable Court.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. Mr.R.A.S.Senthilvel, learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

2. The petitioner was issued with a call letter on 26.07.2012 by the first respondent calling upon to appear for the interview for selection to the post of Village Assistant, Karur Taluk, Dharmapuri District. Accordingly, he appeared on 04.08.2012 with all relevant records and he was interviewed. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. The grievance expressed by the petitioner is that though four years have lapsed, the result of the selection is yet to be made known to him. In this regard, he submitted series of representations dated 25.03.2013, 19.02.2014, 13.10.2014, 17.09.2015, 08.08.2016 to the respondents 1 and 2 and inspite of receipt and acknowledgement, no orders have been passed. Therefore, he came forward to file this writ petition.

4. Heard the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.R.A.S.Senthilvel, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

5. Though the petitioner prays for a larger relief, this Court in the light of the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner, directs the 1st and 2nd respondents to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representations dated 19.02.2014 and 08.08.2016 on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
