The writ appeal has been filed by the Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation challenging the order dated 02.03.2012 passed by the learned Single Judge by which the award of the Labour court dismissing the industrial dispute raised by the 1st respondent/workman was set aside and the Management was directed to reinstate the 1st respondent/workman in service forthwith with continuity of service but without backwages and the learned Single Judge further observed that it shall be deemed that the 1st respondent/workman retired on attaining the age of superannuation and he will be entitled to monetary benefits arising out of his retirement. 2.

Today, when the matter is taken up, Ms.Svetlana Regu Rajan, Manager Labour, Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation is present before this Court.

It is brought to the notice of this Court that a memo dated 28.02.2023 has been filed by the 1st respondent/workman to the following effect:

"It is respectfully submit that, the 1st respondent namely G.Govindarajan is ready and willing to receive a sum of Rs.1,50,000/-(Rupees One Lakh Fifty Thousand only) towards full and final settlement of the entire claim including Gratuity. It is therefore prayed that this Hon'ble court may be pleased to record the same and dispose of the writ appeal in terms of the above settlement in the interest of justice." 4.

In the light of the memo dated 28.02.2023 filed by the 1st respondent, recording the same, the writ appeal stands disposed of. No costs.
