ORDER

(The case has been heard through video conferencing) This petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to investigate the case and file a final report in Crime No.937 of 2020 pending investigation on the file of the respondent police within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that though the respondent police has registered a case in Crime No. 937 of 2020 for the offence under Sections 420 and 506 (i) IPC, till date no final report has been filed by them. 3.Learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent Police would submit that the final report would be filed by them within a period of three months. prays for appropriate orders.

4.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent.

5. In view of the above, the respondent police is hereby directed to either file a final report or closure report, as the case may be, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order under due intimation to the defacto complainant.

6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
