O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the respondent authority to give police protection and permission to conduct Cultural programme (Adal Padal Nigalchi) in the event of C.Sorpananthal Village Arulmigu Sree Mariamman Temple Pongal Festival at Chengam Taluk, Tiruvannamalai District on 17.01.2020 between 06.00 P.M. to 11.00 P.M. by considering the petitioner's representation dated 08.01.2020.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, would submit that there is likelihood of arising law and order problem. He further submitted that already four https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

FIRs have been registered with regard to the untoward incident took place during cultural programme in the aforesaid village and hence, he opposed this petition.

4. Considering the aforesaid submissions, the respondent is directed to enquire the petitioner's representation after giving an opportunity to the petitioner and also rival group if any and dispose of the petitioner's representation on or before 15.01.2020 and inform to the parties.

5. With the aforesaid direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
