Respondents Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to consider the application submitted by the petitioner, dated 20.12.2019, for alteration of date of birth of the petitioner in the Service Register as 21.08.1963 instead of 05.01.1962, and consequently allow the petitioner to retire from service on attaining 58 years of age from 21.08.1963 with consequential and attendant benefits. ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the application submitted by the petitioner on 20.12.2019, seeking for alteration of his Date of Birth.

2. Mrs.K.Bhuvaneswari, learned Government Advocate, appearing on behalf of the respondents, submitted that the application submitted by the petitioner has already been rejected by the first respondent vide proceedings, dated 13.01.2020. She also submitted that a copy of the said proceedings has also been sent to the petitioner.

3. In view of the above development, no further orders can be passed in this Writ Petition. However, the petitioner is at liberty to challenge the said proceedings of the first respondent, dated 13.01.2020, if he is so advised.

4. Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, the connected W.M.P.No.959 of 2020 stands closed.
