ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 5 to conduct enquiry and take all appropriate actions on the petitioner's representation dated 27.09.2022, 30.09.2022 and 20.12.2022 regarding excommunication and katta panchayat and take an appropriate action against the private respondents 8 to 14 and ensure petitioner family dignified life as held by this Court in K.Gopal Vs. The State of Tamil Nadu represented by the Chief Secretary reported in 2005 (4) CTC 241.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court.

3. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made on either side, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the representations, directs the first respondent/ District Collector, Salem District, to consider the petitioner's representation and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after issuing notice to respondent Nos.8 to 15, within a period twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
