ORDER

(Order of the court was made by HULUVADI G.RAMESH,J.) Having heard the learned counsel appearing for the parties for some time, we find that the petitioner's father himself was a licence-holder in respect of quarrying work and the petitioner is shown to have filed the writ petition on behalf of his father to protect his interest and prevent the mining activity

of others and therefore, we are of the view that no public interest is involved in the matter, rather, the petitioner has got some private interest. However, we are of the view that if any illegal activity of mining activity is going on, it is for the respondents to look into the same and proceed in accordance with law. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
