PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 528 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate at Katpadi to dispose a petition in Crl.MP. No.1211 of 2025 filed on 22.04.2025 within a stipulated period of time prescribed by this Court. For Petitioner :

ORDER

This criminal original petition has been filed by the petitioner/de facto complainant seeking expeditious disposal of Crl.MP. No.1211 of 2025 pending on the file of the Judicial Magistrate Court at Katpadi, seeking registration of an FIR for the offences under Sections 240, 314, 316, 318(4), 322, 335, 336(3), 338, 339, 340 (2) and 351(2) of BNS, 2023.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petition has been filed on 22.04.2025 and the learned Magistrate is adjourning the case repeatedly without passing orders. Therefore, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner prays for the indulgence of this Court to direct early disposal of the case.

3. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the materials available on record.

Considering the fact that the petition is pending from 22.04.2025, this Court directs the learned Judicial Magistrate at Katpadi, to give top priority and pass orders in Crl.M.P.No.1211 of 2025 as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this criminal original petition stands disposed of.
