ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed challenging the order dated 30.10.2018 passed in Na.Ka.No.A1/3041/2018 by the third respondent, thereby rejected the request made by the petitioner for transfer of patta.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

The petitioner had purchased the property situated at Old No.31, New No.38, Kutty Maistry Street, Peddunaickenpet, Chennai, by a registered sale deed dated 13.04.2018, measuring an extent of 73 sq.mts. In order to transfer of patta, the petitioner made an application, which came to be rejected on the ground that there was a discrepancy between the extent mentioned in the sale deed and the extent reflected in the computerized land register maintained in the office of the third respondent.
4. As against the order passed by the third respondent, an appeal lies before the Revenue Divisional Officer, Chennai. Therefore,
the petitioner is at liberty to file such an appeal before the Revenue Divisional Officer, Chennai, challenging the order of the third respondent. On receipt of such an appeal, the Revenue Divisional Officer, Chennai, is directed to conduct enquiry, after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and the third respondent, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law.
