Contemnors PRAYER Contempt Petition filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, to punish the respondents for willfully and deliberately disobeying the orders of this Court, dated 13.10.2025 in W.P.No.5418/2021 under Section 11 of the Contempt of Court Act,1971.

ORDER

When the Contempt Petition is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the Writ Appeal preferred by the respondent / State vide W.A.No.865 of 2026 was dismissed by the Hon'ble Division Bench of this Court on 09.04.2026.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the Hon'ble Division Bench of this Court while dismissing the said Writ Appeal, had granted the respondents eight weeks time to comply with the order of this Court, dated 13.10.2025 in W.P.No.5418 of 2021.

3. Since, it is now brought to the notice of this Court that the Hon'ble Division Bench having dismissed the order of this Court in Writ Appeal preferred against the order of this Court in the Writ Petition, the respondents are bound to comply with the order of this Court within the time enlarged by the Hon'ble Division Bench. Taking note of the fact that the said enlarged time is not yet over, no useful purpose would be served in keeping the Contempt Petition pending for the respondents to comply with the order.

4. Accordingly, the present Contempt Petition is closed. No costs.

5. However, liberty is granted to the petitioner to seek revival of the present Contempt Petition, in the event of respondent of failing to comply with the order of this Court within the time as enlarged by the Hon'ble Division Bench of this Court.
