Respondents The writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issue of a writ of mandamus, directing the respondent herein to consider the representation, dated 1.2.2014, requesting them to conduct enquiry and cancel the patta issued in the name of Shankar and thereafter, issue patta in the name of petitioner in respect of S.No.104/1A, measuring an extent of 2700 square feet, out of 5790, within a stipulated time.

ORDER

Heard the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the first respondent.

This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner, praying that this Court may be pleased to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 1.2.2014, in accordance with law, within the time frame, as fixed by this Court. At this stage of the hearing of the writ petition, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the first respondent had submitted that the first respondent may be directed to dispose of the representation of the petitioner, dated 1.2.2014, on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame fixed by this Court.

In view of such submissions made by the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the first respondent, this Court finds it appropriate to direct the first respondent to consider and dispose of the representation of the petitioner, dated 1.2.2014, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, as well as to the second respondent and the other persons concerned, if any. The writ petition is disposed of, with the above directions. No costs.
