Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the relief sought for in this writ petition has become infructuous. He has also made an endorsement in the relevant typed set of papers of the Writ Petition to the effect that "Since nothing survives in this writ petition, because Panchayat duration is over in the year 2011 onwards. Hence, may be dismissed as Infructuous." 2.In view of the submission and endorsement made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this writ petition stands dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
