ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent to conduct an enquiry and cancel the patta No.178 standing in the name of the 4th respondent by passing a final order on the petitioner's representation dated 19.12.2025, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. The petitioner had given a representation on 19.12.2025 to the 2nd respondent seeking to cancel the patta No.178 standing in the name of the 4th respondent for the property morefully described in the affidavit filed in support of this writ petition. Since the said representation was not considered, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

3. Since no adverse order is being passed against the 4th respondent in this writ petition, notice to the 4th respondent is dispensed with in this writ petition.

4. Mr.S.Arumugam, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3 and on instructions, he would submit that based on the petitioner's representation, dated 19.12.2025, enquiry notice has been issued to the petitioner as well as the 4th respondent for the hearing on 30.01.2026. The said statement made by the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 is recorded.

5. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents, if the petitioner's representation as stated supra is considered on merits and in accordance with, after hearing the objections of the 4th respondent or any other third party, whom the 2nd respondent deems fit to enquire, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

6. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's representation.

7. For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the 2nd respondent to pass final orders, on merits and in accordance with law, on the petitioner's representation, dated 19.12.2025, seeking for cancellation of patta No.178 standing in the name of the 4th respondent for the property morefully described in the affidavit filed in support of this writ petition, after hearing the objections of the 4th respondent or any other third party, whom the 2nd respondent deems fit to enquire, within a period of twelve

(12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

8. With the aforesaid direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
