C O M M O N O R D E R The petitioners have filed the above Writ Petitions to issue Writs of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to consider the petitioners representation dated 01.03.2013 along with follow up reminders dated 25.04.2013, 19.08.2013 and 02.11.2015 made for the payment of arrears of rent due to the petitioner from the 2nd respondent in respect of Shop No.167, situated at No.16, Broadway High Road, Chennai-1, Shop No.131 situated at No.188, Broadway High Road, Chennai-1, Shop No.134 situated at No.72/1, Amman Kovil Street, Sowcarpet, Chennai-2 and Shop No.132 situated at No.34, No.16, Zils Street, Broadway High Road, Chennai-1.

2. It is the case of the petitioners that in spite of their representations given to the respondent to make the payment of arrears of rent due to the petitioner, the 2nd respondent has not passed any orders so far.

3. Mr.B. Nedunchezhian, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents, submitted that the 1st respondent may be directed to pass orders on the petitioners representation within a stipulated time.

4. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner, I direct the 1st respondent to consider the petitioners representation dated 01.03.2013 and the reminders dated 25.04.2013, 19.08.2013 and 02.11.2015 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With these observations, the Writ Petitions are disposed of. No costs.
