ORDER

The writ petition is at the notice of motion stage. Today, the matter has been admitted and respondents seeks time to file counter. Though this petition has been filed for early listing, however, it is to be pointed out that in respect of matters relating to quashment, sufficient time ought to be granted to the respondents to file their counter and submit their arguments. At this stage, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has filed a petition seeking early listing.

2. This Court finds no sufficient grounds to advance the hearing since the writ petition is of the year 2025, and the respondents are yet to file their counter affidavit. Entertaining the petition for early listing /hearing at this stage would be premature.

3. Further, it is to be pointed out that matters of yesteryears are pending in large numbers before this Court which is also urgent insofar as the respective petitioners are concerned of which there are very many matters, which is of grave public importance. Therefore, this Court cannot grant indulgence to all the individual cases, unless a grave urgency is shown, which is not evident in the present case.

4. Therefore, finding no merit in the present petition seeking early hearing, this W.M.P. No.1222 of 2026 is dismissed. 12.01.2026 (2/3) vsi2 3/4
