This Criminal Original Petition has been filed for a direction to the District and Sessions Judge II, Kancheepuram, to expedite the trial in S.C.No.93 of 2022 and complete the same within a stipulated time.

2. Heard Mr.S.Gunasekar, learned counsel for petitioner and 1/4

Mr.A.Damodaran, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for respondent.

3. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the case is now at the stage of framing of charges and posted for hearing on 02.04.2024.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case, there shall be a direction to the learned District and Sessions Judge II, Kancheepuram, to expedite the trial in S.C.No.93 of 2022 and complete the same, within a period of six (6) months from 02.04.2024. This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above direction.
