PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus, to call for the entire records relating to Petitioners son detention under Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982 vide detention order dated 29.11.2024 on the file of the second respondent herein made in proceedings BCDFGISSSV.No.42/2024 and quash the same and as illegal and consequently direct the respondents herein to produce the said petitioners son namely Udhaya @ Kariudhaya aged 24 yrs Son of Ganesan before this Honble High Court and set him at Liberty now petitioners son detained at Central Prison Puzhal Chennai - 600 066. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner, as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents, by producing a copy of the Government Order in G.O.Rt.No.279, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XI) Department, dated 20.01.2025, submitted that the detention order has already been revoked.
2. Recording the said submission, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands dismissed as infructuous.
