O R D E R

This petition has been filed seeking direction to direct the respondent police to provide police protection to the life of the petitioner and pass orders.

2. The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner borrowed a substantial loan from a private money lender. Subsequently, the petitioner was unable to repay the loan and filed for adjudication in I.P. No. 4 of 2024 before the Sub Court, Omalur, which is still pending against the creditors. At this juncture, the money lender lodged a complaint and based on this complaint, C.S.R.No.552 of 2024 was issued on the file of the respondent. A detailed enquiry was conducted and the matter was subsequently closed. The petitioner, therefore, apprehends a threat to his life from the money lender and has lodged a complaint.

3. Based on the said complaint, the respondent police conducted an enquiry, during which the money lender assured that no further disturbance would occur at the hands of the money lender.

4. In light of the above, the complaint lodged by the petitioner has been enquired and closed.

5. Recording the above submissions, this Criminal Original Petition is closed. In the event of any future complaint lodged by the petitioner

that gives rise to a fresh cause of action, the respondent is directed to take appropriate action in accordance with the law. 12.02.2025 Index : Yes/No.
