ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to issue a direction, directing the respondent to file the charge sheet/ final report for FIR in Crime No.991 of 2020, dated 03.06.2020, on the file of F-4, Kavarapettai Police Station, as expeditiously as possible within the stipulated time prescribed by this Court.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondent police.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that though the respondent police has registered a case in the above said crime number on 03.06.2020, no action has been taken and no final report is filed till date. 4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent would submit that the respondent Police shall file a final report within a period of three months. 5.In view of the above, the respondent police is directed to either file a final report or closure report, as the case may be, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order under due intimation to the defacto complainant.

6.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
