Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant joint patta to the petitioners in respect of the lands measuring an extent of 2.98 acres comprised in S.F.No.17/1, Bommasamuthiram Village, Sendamangalam Taluk, Namakkal District less the extent sold by considering their application dated 28.07.2020. ORDER
The petitioners have moved the second respondent with their representation dated 28.07.2020 for issuance of joint patta in their name in respect of the property in S.F.No.17/1 of Bommasamuthiram Village, Sendamangalam Taluk, Namakkal District.
2.Mrs.R.Janaki, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents and made a statement on instructions that an enquiry on the petitioners' representation is scheduled to take place on 12.03.2021 at 3.00 p.m. at the office of the second respondent/Tahsildar. 3.The said statement of the learned Additional Government Pleader is recorded.

4.In view of the above, no further direction is required to be given except that the second respondent is directed to issue notice to all the parties who are likely to be affected by his decision, provide them a fair and effective hearing and to dispose of the matter through a speaking order within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, subject to the period, if any lost for the responsibilities associated with the conduct of the General Elections, 2021.
5.The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
