Prayer :- Civil Revision Petition is filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India, seeking direction to the learned V Assistant Judge, City Civil Court, Chennai, for speedy disposal of O.S.No.3270 of 2013 on the file of the learned V Assistant City Civil Court, Chennai.

ORDER

This Civil Revision Petition is filed seeking direction to the learned V Assistant Judge, City Civil Court, Chennai, to dispose of the case in O.S.No.3270 of 2013 on the file of the learned V Assistant City Civil Court, 1/4

Chennai, within a time period stipulated by this court.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the suit was filed by the respondents for the relief of permanent injunction. The examination of witnesses is over and the case is pending for arguments. However, the respondents dragging their proceedings without submitting their arguments. Therefore, the present Civil Revision Petition is preferred.

3. The suit is of the year 2013 and it comes under the category of cases pending more than five years. Courts are expected to give priority to dispose of the old cases especially, the cases pending for more than five years.

4. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the examination of witnesses is over and the case is pending for arguments. Under the said circumstances, this court directs the learned V Assistant Judge, City Civil Court, Chennai, to dispose of the suit in O.S.No.3270 of 2013, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Civil Revision Petition is disposed of. No costs.
